underside of the amplifier chassis. The preamp tube is retained by a wire clip, ease this away from the tube and
tube can then be gently pulled out. The output tube has a spring retainer which must be pulled away before the
tube will come out, see photo opposite. (Removal of both tubes can be eased by applying a slight rocking
motion as they are pulled, but ensure that it is only slight, as the plastic location peg on the 6V6GT can
easily be damaged).
Take care when pushing the new tubes into
Output Tubes 6V6GT
place, make sure the pins are all aligned
properly & that the rib on the base of the 6V6
tube is located in the valve base correctly
before fully fitting.
• Servicing: The user should not attempt to
service these products. Refer all servicing to
qualified service personnel.
