DELTA-PILOT Page 3 Furthermore navigational instruments may cause deflection of the compass, so a loudspeaker should be at least 70 cm away from the compass, same with electro motors to drive the window wipers or echo sounders. These moving fields will cause compass deflections which are never adjustable because the interference depend thereon if the instruments is switched on or off.

Use the cable clamp inside the binnacle to fix the cable against pull. Between detector and clamp the cable should be laid spiral to allow move of the gimbaled compass bowl. DELTA-PILOT Page 6 Illumination The white illumination element is visible at the glass dome of the compass. It is fixed by a bracket to the glass dome. For replacement remove the white element and replace by a new one. The bulb is of glow type which means the wires of the cable can be connected to the battery free of polarity.
