OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USB CAR CHARGER CPS-2100
ITEM NO.: 1214408
INTENDED USE
The USB car charger is designed to provide a USB power supply in cars. It is only approved
for connection to a 12 V or 24 V direct current vehicle electrical system where the negative
terminal of the battery is connected to the car body; it must only be used in vehicles with this
kind of voltage.
The product may only be used in the interior of the vehicle, i.e. outdoor use is not permitted.
Contact with moisture must be avoided at all costs.
A USB cable with a GALAXY tab plug is included with the product, which you can use to
charge GALAXY tab mobile devices.
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If
you use the product for purposes other than those described above, the product may be
damaged. In addition, improper use can cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric
shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them. Make this product available to third
parties only together with its operating instructions.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information
on proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the
warranty/guarantee.
a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and
protect it from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if
the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Never pour liquids over the product. This creates a very high risk of fire. If
liquids do get into the interior of the device, disconnect it from the power supply
immediately and consult an expert.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
can damage the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are
connected to the product.
• Never leave the product unattended during use.
• Disconnect the product when you are not using it.
• The product generates heat during use. Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation
and do not cover the product during use.
• Do not short-circuit the USB outputs.
b) Miscellaneous
• Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the
device.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an
expert or at a qualified shop.
If you are not sure about the correct connection or use, or if questions arise which are not
covered by these operating instructions, please do not hesitate to contact our technical
support or another qualified specialist.
OPERATION
The maximum load capacity for the USB connection is 2.1 A.
The current consumption of the connected device must not exceed this value.

Note that for certain makes of vehicle, the cigarette lighter socket continues to be
supplied with electricity after the ignition has been switched off. This may lead to the car
battery discharging if the USB car charger is connected. For this reason, disconnect the
USB car charger from the cigarette lighter socket after switching off the engine.
In addition to charging GALAXY tab products, the device can also be used to charge
other mobile devices. However, be sure to pay attention to the connected load values in
the technical data. A suitable USB charging cable is required to connect the device.
1. Insert the USB car charger into the cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.
2. The operational status light will turn on as soon as the USB car charger is supplied with
electricity. If the operational status light does not turn on, the vehicle ignition may need to
be switched on first.
3. Turn off the mobile device before connecting.
4. Connect the USB charging cable to your mobile device.
5. Insert the USB-A plug on the charging cable into the USB connection on the USB car
charger. Charging begins.
6. After charging is complete, remove the mobile device from the USB car charger before
removing the USB car charger from the cigarette lighter socket.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Remove the product from the vehicle electrical system.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Wipe the product regularly with a dry cloth.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
