Loosen the hex socket bolt (C) and set the lateral guide rollers
(A) so that they contact the sawblade lightly.
The sawblade may not be pushed out of place.
Loosen the hex socket bolt (E, Fig 26) and lock the back guide
roller (D) so that the distance to the saw blade is 1mm
Lower blade guide:
Loosen the hex nut (G, Fig 27) and position the guide assembly
forward/ backward so that the teeth keep a distance of appr.
2mm to the lateral guide rollers (A).
Test run:
Turn the wheels by hand and inspect the adjustments made.
Start the machine with care.

7.5 Folding the bandsaw blade

Hold the bandsaw blade in one hand. Let it hang down
vertically and hold it to the floor with a foot. Turn your hand
through 360° (a complete circle), as you move it down towards
the floor.

7.6 Changing the Blade Speed

This band saw hast wo blade speeds:
- 370 m/min for hardwoods, some plastics and certain non
ferrous metals.
- 800 m/min for all other timber.

The lower bandwheel (C, Fig 28) has two Poly-V pulleys, the
motor has a Twin-Poly-V pulley (D).
The Poly-V-belt (E) passes around the bandwheel pulley, the
motor pulley and the plain tension roller (F). The belt tension is
released and applied by using the cranked handle (G), this
moves the tension roller and allows the speed to be changed.
To change the belt the lower bandwheel must be removed.
For the high speed the belt must be fitted to the rear pulley on
both the motor and bandwheel. As shown in Fig. 29.
For the low speed the belt should be fitted to the front pulley
on both the motor and bandwheel. As shown in Fig. 30.
