Installing the Network Card Turn off the printer (O), and unplug the power cord from the printer. If there is a parallel cable connected to the printer, disconnect it. Remove the two screws that secure the cover on the back of the printer in place, and then remove the back cover of the printer.

Aligning the Network Card with the guide rails inside the printer, slide it into place. Next, use the two cover screws to secure the Network Card into place. Plug the network cable into the connector on the Network Card. Reconnect the power cord to the printer.

• Printing via a NetWare print server Note • Before continuing to the next step, you should first install the printer driver on the computer that you will be using for printing. See the printer’s User’s Manual , which is contained in the CD-ROM that comes with your printer, for details about installing the printer driver.
• To use MAP, your computer must have TCP/IP and IPX/SPX-compatible protocol in- stalled. See Appendix A - Installing and Setting Up Network Protocol (Windows) in the Network Interface Card User’s Manual on the CD-ROM that comes with your printer for information about installing TCP/IP and IPX/SPX under Windows.

This displays a Web browser screen that shows a list of printers on the net- work. Click the URL or the serial number of the printer you want to use. This displays a Network Card setup Web browser page. Click Network at the top of the link menu.

Configuring a Windows 95/98/Me Client On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Printers. Click the icon of the printer you want to use, and then select Properties on the File menu. Display the Details tab of the printer properties.
