Scanner Battery Pack with Charging Stand
Your Radio Shack Scanner Battery Pack with Charging Stand is a spare battery
pack for your handheld scanner, plus a charging stand to let you recharge dis-
charged battery packs. When your scanner's battery pack is discharged, you can
replace it with a charged one.
To use the battery charging stand to recharge the nickel-cadmium battery pack,
you need an AC adapter, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 20-188 or 273-1665, not
supplied.
The battery charging stand lets you recharge the battery packs used in the fol-
lowing scanner models:

Warning: Do not insert a scanner's battery pack that has non-rechargeable bat-
teries installed. They could get hot and explode and injure you or damage the
charger.
Cautions:
• Do not overcharge the battery pack or you might damage it or the charging
stand. Remove the battery pack from the charging stand when you are fin-
ished charging.
• To avoid a short circuit across the battery terminals, be sure to place the
supplied plastic cover over the battery pack's contacts when the battery
pack is not in the charging stand or the scanner.
Note: The recommended AC adapter supplies 9 VDC and 300 mA, its center tip
is set to negative (−) and its plug correctly fits the charging stand's
