LPA products are not designed to be pressure-washed or washed in automatic wheelchair washers. LPA products are not designed to be used outdoors or to be used in the shower. -
Page 5: Definitions
Before using the chair, caregivers must have received adequate training from an LPA Medical representative or a trained third party. This instruction manual will be used as a reference for continuing education. It is strongly recommended to appoint a caregiver responsible for training and maintaining an up-to-date list of those who have received training. -

In addition, LPA chairs are not designed for outdoor use. The Versatile chair must be used with accessories specifically designed for it by LPA Medical Inc. It must be used in accordance with recognized health and safety practices. INSPECTION BEFORE USE The chair can be shipped fully assembled or partially assembled. -

The chair should not be pressure-washed or placed inside a washing machine. These practices may cause the chair components to rust internally, as well as deteriorate the adjustment components, thus voiding the LPA chair warranty. MAINTENANCE As long as the recommendations for use and cleaning are followed, the Versatile chair does not require preventive maintenance. -

ADJUSTMENT AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS SEAT-TO-FLOOR HEIGHT 1. Determine if the seat should be raised or lowered. 2. When the chair is unoccupied, lay it on its side, unlock the spring pull by turning the knob counterclockwise (about 2 turns), then pull. 3. -

ELASTIC BACKREST BANDS When the backrest with zipper option is chosen 1. Open the zipper (upwards) behind the backrest and open the flaps. 2. Position the elastic bands as desired. 3. Close the zipper. -

BACKREST CUSHION When the backrest without zipper option is chosen 1. Roll up the bottom edge of the backrest cushion in the back until you see the two black plastic J-moldings. 2. Unhook the two J-moldings from the bottom slat of the backrest frame and push them forward. -

SEAT DEPTH – OPTIONS Z-C3-A and Z-C4-A WARNING: THE CHAIR MUST BE UNOCCUPIED WHEN MAKING THIS ADJUSTMENT. The seat depth can be adjusted by moving the backrest forward or backward. 1. Locate the quick-release levers behind the backrest, under the seat. Push the levers down to loosen them. -

BACKREST ANGLE – OPTION Z-C3-A WARNING: THE CHAIR MUST BE UNOCCUPIED WHEN MAKING THIS ADJUSTMENT. The backrest angle adjustment is done with a 4-position telescopic support located under the seat. 1. Lay the chair on its side. Unlock the spring pull by turning the knob counterclockwise until it won’t turn any further, then pull while holding the backrest with one hand. -

BACKREST TILT – OPTION Z-C4-A 1. With the Z-C4-A option, you can adjust the backrest tilt via a gas spring located under the seat. The backrest tilt can be adjusted by the occupant or by the caregiver. 2. Pull on the activator lever, adjust the backrest tilt, then release the lever. -

SERIAL NUMBER LOCATION Each LPA Medical Inc. chair is identified by a serial number. Always provide your LPA chair’s serial number when ordering replacement parts. The serial number can be found on the label affixed under the back of the seat. -
