Drag to Transfer Files Between Your Device and Laptop
After connecting your device to a laptop, you can transfer files between them to work more
efficiently.
Drag and Drop Files
Connect your device with your laptop and seamlessly drag and drop files (such as pictures
and videos) across the two devices.
From device to laptop:
Open Gallery or Files of your device on your laptop, use the mouse to click and hold a file,
such as a picture or video, until a dragging icon is displayed. Then drag the file to a laptop
folder. You can also drag a selected picture or segment of text from the virtual window of
your device and drop it into an opened file on the laptop.
For example, drag a picture or a segment of text from Notepad in the tablet window and
drop it into an Office document opened on your laptop, then continue editing on your laptop.
From laptop to device:
Drag and drop a laptop picture or video to Gallery > Albums in the virtual window of your

device.
Drag and drop a laptop file to Files in the virtual window of your device.

The file will be saved in the folder that is open in Files, or in the Huawei Share folder
by default.
Drag and drop a laptop picture or video to an opened document in your tablet window.

For example: Drag and drop a laptop picture or video to an opened note on your tablet
window.
Drag a File from WeChat to Your Laptop
After your device is connected to your laptop, you can drag WeChat files in Files in the virtual
window of your device to your laptop (the WeChat app itself does not support the drag-and-
drop function).

Go to Files > WeChat in the tablet window on your laptop.

Use the mouse to click and hold the desired file until a dragging icon is displayed, then
drag it into a folder on your computer.
The files sent via WeChat are saved in Files > WeChat by default.
