OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USING THE BIOLUX LIGHT THERAPY WAND
1. Place protective eyeglasses over your eyes.
2. Press and hold the On/Off button for 2 seconds to turn on the BioLux.
You will hear a sound, and all of the icons on the LED screen will
light up. The time display window will show a default working time of
5 minutes.
3. Press the Time button to adjust the working time, if desired. Choose
from 5–30 minutes, in 5-minute increments. If the working time is set
to 30 minutes, tapping the button once will decrease the session time
to 5 minutes. The set working time cannot be adjusted without pausing
treatment.
4. Tap the On/Off button to begin treatment. A sound indicates that
treatment has begun.
5. Tap the On/Off button to pause treatment at any time. Once paused,
you may adjust treatment time, if desired. Tap the On/Off button again
to resume treatment.
6. Relax and enjoy your red light therapy treatment session.
7. Press and hold the On/Off button for 2 seconds to stop the treatment
before the working time ends. The BioLux will automatically turn off
when the set working time is complete. You may press the On/Off
button again if you wish to continue using the device. If no buttons
have been pressed and the device has not been running for at least
1 minute, the BioLux will automatically shut down.
8. Always turn the BioLux off, using the On/Off button, and unplug it
after each use.
NOTE: The BioLux has an automatic shutoff feature. When no buttons
have been pressed and the device has not been running for at least
1 minute, the device automatically turns off to save battery power.

Quickly troubleshoot simple issues you might experience with the BioLux
Light Therapy Wand using the table below.

to repair the therapy wand.
ISSUE POSSIBLE REASON
The battery is dead.
DEVICE IS NOT
WORKING
Device is not turned on.
Device automatically
shuts off after the set
working time.
DEVICE STOPPED
WORKING
SUDDENLY
The battery has run out.
The laser diodes may be
dirty.
THE LASER DIODE
LIGHTS SEEM
WEAK
NIR light (the three
808nm laser diodes) is not
visible to the naked eye.
HOW TO RESOLVE
Charge the battery, or use the
device with the charging cable
plugged in.
Long press the On/Off button to
turn on the control panel. Short
press the On/Off button to begin
the treatment program.
Turn the BioLux on to begin a new
treatment session.
Charge the battery, or use the
device with the charging cable
plugged in.
Turn off the device and allow to
completely cool. Clean the laser
diodes with a damp cloth or cotton
ball soaked in rubbing alcohol.
This is normal.
