The rear seat backrests can be folded down
with the respective loops from the rear.
Safety information
Warning
There is a danger of jamming with folding
down the rear seat backrests. There is a
risk of injury or risk of damage to prop-
erty. Make sure that the area of movement
of the rear seat backrest and the of the
head restraint is clear prior to folding
down.
Warning
If a rear seat backrest is not locked, unse-
cured cargo can be thrown about the car's
interior; for instance, in the event of an
accident, braking or an evasive maneuver.
There is a risk of injury. Make sure that
the rear seat backrest is locked after fold-
ing it back.
Warning
Unexpected movements of the rear seat
backrest while driving may occur due to
unintentional unlocking of the rear seat
backrests by the loops. There is a risk of
injury. Only use loops for releasing the
rear seat backrests. Do not attach objects
on the loops.
Warning
The stability of the child restraint system
is limited or compromised with incorrect
seat setting or improper installation of the
child seat. There is a risk of injury or dan-
ger to life. Make sure that the child re-
straint system fits securely against the
backrest. If possible, adjust the backrest

tilt for all affected backrests and correctly
adjust the seats. Make sure that seats and
backrests are securely engaged or locked.
If necessary, adjust the height of the head
restraints or remove them.
Warning
Body parts can be jammed when moving
the head restraint. There is a risk of injury.
Make sure that the area of movement is
clear when moving the head restraint.
Folding down the rear seat
backrest from the rear
Pull the loop. The rear seat backrest folds
forward.
Cargo position
Principle
The rear seat backrests can be moved into
an upright loading position individually. An
adjustment in several tilt stages is possible
as needed.
