Check that ...
If the drive is not connected to a symmetrically grounded TN-S system: you have done all the
required modificaitons (for example, you may need to disconnect the EMC filter or phase-to-ground
varistor)
If the drive has been stored over one year: The electrolytic DC capacitors in the DC link of the drive
have been reformed. See Converter module capacitor reforming instructions (3BFE64059629
[English]).
There is an adequately sized protective earth (ground) conductor between the drive and the
switchboard, and the conductor has been connected to appropriate terminal. Proper grounding has
also been measured according to the regulations.
There is an adequately sized protective earth (ground) conductor between the motor and the drive,
and the conductor has been connected to appropriate terminal. Proper grounding has also been
measured according to the regulations.
Only for drives with option +D150: There is an adequately sized protective earth (ground) conductor
between the user-installed brake resistor and the drive, and the conductor has been connected to
appropriate terminal. Proper grounding has also been measured according to the regulations.
The supply voltage matches the nominal input voltage of the drive. Check the type designation label.
The voltage setting of the auxiliary voltage transformer (T21) is correct. See page 85.
The input power cable has been connected to the appropriate terminals, the phase order is right, and
the terminals have been tightened. (Pull the conductors to check.)
The motor cable has been connected to the appropriate terminals, the phase order is right, and the
terminals have been tightened. (Pull the conductors to check.)
The motor cable (and brake resistor cable, if present) has been routed away from other cables.
No power factor compensation capacitors have been connected to the motor cable.
If a drive bypass connection will be used: The direct-on-line contactor of the motor and the drive
output contactor are either mechanically and/or electrically interlocked, ie, cannot be closed
simultaneously. When bypass a drive, thermal overload device must be used for protection.
The external brake resistor (if present) has been connected to the appropriate terminals, and the
terminals have been tightened. (Pull the conductors to check.)
The external brake resistor (if present), there is an adequately sized protective earth (ground)
conductor between the brake resistor and the drive, and the conductor is connected to the correct
terminal, and the terminals are tightened to the correct torque. Keep the brake resistor cabling away
from other cables.
The control cables have been connected to the appropriate terminals, and the terminals have been
tightened. (Pull the conductors to check.)
There are no tools, foreign objects or dust from drilling inside the drive.
The area in front of the drive is clean: the cooling fan of the drive must not draw any dust or pollutants
inside. All shrouds and cover of the motor connection box are in place. Cabinet doors have been
closed.
The motor and the driven equipment are ready for start.
