USAGE

Before each use you must ensure that your water tank is above the minimum fill mark. Always use cold water when filling the water tank, other than when cleaning.

USAGE

Turn the dial to select the feed size you require (4fl oz –11fl oz).
USAGE Step 1

Position your sterilised bottle under the spout. Adjust bottle stand if necessary (bottle neck should sit close to the spout).
USAGE Step 2

Press the start/stop button. A red light will flash and a volume of hot water is dispensed into your bottle.
USAGE Step 3

The light will change to solid red and there will be a double beep to indicate the end of the first stage. You will need to make up your feed within 2 minutes.
USAGE Step 4

Carefully remove the bottle from the stand and measure the correct number of formula scoops into the bottle.
USAGE Step 5

Screw the sterilised milk storage lid onto the bottle and ensure that the lid is tight. Be careful when handling hot liquid.

Shake well until the formula powder has dissolved.
USAGE Step 7

USAGE Step 11

For your child's safety always check food temperature before feeding by testing on a sensitive part of your skin.
USAGE Step 12

Your bottle is now ready to serve. Make sure you discard any unwanted feed as per the formula manufacturer's recommendation.
USAGE Step 13

HOW TO KEEP THE TANK COOL

The Perfect Prep should be kept in a cool dry location, avoiding direct sunlight and keeping away from warm appliances. This is recommended to avoid the water tank temperature getting too warm.

Don't worry if your temperature light does illuminate, as we have some tips for you:

  1. Flush your cold tap for 10 seconds before filling the water tank.
  2. Regularly top up with cold water rather than letting a full tank stand and warm for long periods of time.
  3. Keep a cold jug of tap water in the fridge ready to top up the tank.

HOW TO STOP THE PERFECT PREP™ MACHINE

If at any point you need to stop the Perfect Prep machine you can do so by pressing the start/stop button. The pump may continue to run for a few seconds and the green light will illuminate to show that the process has ended.
It will not be possible to restart the machine for 20 seconds. If you have to stop the Perfect Prep machine, please discard of any incomplete feed.

CLEANING

We recommend you complete a cleaning cycle every 4 weeks, whenever you replace your Tommee Tippee water filter or if the machine has been unused for a period of 7 days.
TIP: carry out the cleaning process when your tank empty light is illuminated (L) so there's no need to discard any water.

Remove lid, hopper (G) and bottle stand (F) and set filter to one side (top side down). Clean the external machine surface with a clean cloth (we advise to use an antibacterial solution), taking care to clean in all grooves and under the dispenser spout (C). At this time the hopper (G), lid and bottle stand (F) should also be cleaned using hot soapy water, rinsed thoroughly, and allowed to dry naturally (do not use cloths or tea towels to dry).

CLEANING Step 2
Plug in the unit, the empty tank warning light will illuminate (L).

Using a cold water sterilising solution (following manufacturer guidelines for using 1.8 litres of water) add required amount to the the water tank. Fill the water tank to the max line with cold water and place a suitable container under the dispenser spout (C).

CLEANING Step 3
An alternative option is to use 1 litre of clear/ white (food grade) vinegar. Top up the water tank to the max line with freshly boiled water and place a suitable container under the dispenser spout (C).

CLEANING Step 4
Press the cleaning button (O) on the side of the machine for 2 seconds. The cleaning mode light will illuminate.

TIP: If using a container less than 1.8 litres capacity you can press the start button (A) to pause the cleaning cycle, allowing you to discard of the contents.

CLEANING Step 5
You can re-start the cycle by pressing the cleaning button again (O). Allow the cycle to fully complete. Discard the contents from the container used.

Once this is done, insert the hopper and follow SET UP steps 1-15 (no need to use step 9a or 12 if re-fitting current Tommee Tippee filter).

REPLACING YOUR FILTER

We recommend that you complete a cleaning cycle, whenever you replace your Tommee Tippee water filter. Your unit comes with a Tommee Tippee water filter which lasts 150 litres (this is approximately 3 months based on 6 x 260ml feeds per day). Replacement Tommee Tippee water filters are available from all Perfect Prep stockists.
Using this machine without a water filter or with a non Tommee Tippee water filter could put your child's health at risk.

A solid red light will illuminate as an early warning, so you can make sure you have a replacement filter ready for when it needs changing. When the red light flashes, replace the filter.
REPLACING YOUR FILTER Step 1

Place a suitably sized container under the spout (C). Press the cleaning mode button for 2 seconds to empty the tank.
REPLACING YOUR FILTER Step 2

Remove the old filter and discard (dispose of the filter in general household waste).
REPLACING YOUR FILTER Step 3

Follow CLEANING steps followed by SET UP steps 1-15.
REPLACING YOUR FILTER Step 4

DESCALING

The descaling process will remove deposits of calcium and other minerals in the system that may affect its performance.

A red warning light will illuminate when the unit requires descaling soon. If the light flashes, you should descale immediately

  1. Remove the filter.
  2. Fill the water tank with 0.5 litres of clear white vinegar (food grade).
  3. Place a suitable container under the spout.
