ATTENTION.....
IT IS IMPORTANT TO STRICTLY FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN FULL. THE 3V LITHIUM BATTERY MUST ONLY BE CONNECTED AFTER
MAINS POWER. FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL RESULT IN SYSTEM FAILURE.
What you will have:
· 1 x Waterguard Home controller with rechargeable battery.
· 1 x Waterguard Home Remote Display with x 2 AAA batteries.
· 1 x Waterguard flow sensor
· 1 x Waterguard shut off valve
· 1 x 12V power pack OR 1 x 240V adapter
· 1 x pair push fit connectors (complete kit only)
Step by Step Installation....
1. Fit the valve assembly. Find a suitable location close to where the
water supply enters the property. Turn off the water supply and
drain. Select suitable pipe fittings. Cut the pipe to give the correct
gap for the valve Assembly, approximately 9-11". Plumb in the
valve assembly. Tighten the pipe fittings. Turn on the water supply
and check for leaks. Re-lag the pipework. Do not over tighten or
overuse PTFE tape.
2. Fix controls to chosen area. The wireless remote display can be
located up to 10 meters away from the valve driver, ensure to
connect x 2 AAA batteries (see reverse for pairing info).
3. Wire the latching solenoid valve and flow sensor to the Home
controller:
• Red to V
• Black and Brown to C
• Blue to F
4. Where applicable, use 2 core flex cable to:
• Connect the intruder alarm to the ALARM IN terminal for
automatic guard switching.
• Connect the BMS or hardwire a Waterguard DataCom to the
ALARM OUT terminal.
• If the remote display is to be fitted over 10 meters from the
Home Controller it is recommended to hardwire the two
units. Use 2 core flex cable from the black hard wire terminal
on the Home Controller to the green 2 gang terminal on the
Remote display.
5. Connect power to the valve driver using the 12V power pack.
6. Connect 9V battery to the valve driver.

Success?
The LED on the Home controller will illuminate WHITE, followed by a single GREEN flash and BEEP, indicating that the unit has power and is operational
in HI GUARD mode.
The remote display will show 888 on the screen for a couple of seconds. If either are not as described, please call the office for technical support.

  • Page 2 Setup…. All Waterguard Home controls are pre-set to allow a maximum of 20 MINUTES continuous water flow in low guard and 12 SECONDS in high guard. To change the default setting, press the button on remote display once to wake it, whichever value is shown is the current guard level. High guard is differentiated from low guard with the use of a decimal point.
