Battery Installation/Replacement
The Fault Finder is shipped without the batteries installed. The two AA-size
alkaline batteries shipped with the instrument must be installed before use. Do not
use non-alkaline or rechargeable batteries in the instrument.
If the LED indicator appears dim during operation, it is time to replace
the batteries in the unit.
To install or replace the batteries, follow the steps below and refer to the
illustration above.
1. Make sure the rotary switch is in the OFF position.
2. Unscrew the end cap by turning it counterclockwise, then remove the used
batteries, if any.
3. Insert two new AA-size alkaline batteries positive end first, as shown in the
illustration above.
4. Replace the end cap, turning it clockwise to tighten it in place.
