3. INSTALLATION
The hose reel needs to be secured to a wall or post (using the mounting bracket).
1. When securing the hose reel to a wall or a post, mount it within reaching distance of the tap (for the short hose – reel to
tap connection), and ensure that there is sufficient room to allow the reel to pivot 180°. The most common orientation
favoured in securing the hose reel to a wall or post is to mount the reel vertically as shown in Fig.2.
NOTE: Ensure that the mounting bracket is secured flat against the wall or post during installation.
If the hose reel needs to be mounted further from the tap, an extra length of hose can be added using a Hoselink Hose
Joiner Set (Product Code: 2410).
2. It is recommended that the bracket be secured to the wall 0.845m above the ground (Fig. 2)
Install the mounting bracket shown in Fig. 3 to the wall or post. To mount the bracket onto Brick you will need to
drill the holes 12mm x 60mm and use the masonry plugs and washers.
To mount the bracket onto Timber you will need to drill the holes 5mm diameter and 60mm deep. Note: The
masonry plugs are NOT used when securing the bracket to Timber.
◆Note: Use a level to ensure the bracket is installed plumb, not at an angle as shown in fig. 4
3. Lift the hose reel onto the mounting bracket, and then slide the Lock Clamp into place as per Fig. 5.
4. Screw the Hoselink Tap Connector onto tap (remove the old connector first), then connect the short (Leader) hose to the
Tap Connector. You are ready to go!
Note that your reel can swivel 180° (Fig. 6)
