4 Unpacking the Equipment
You need to unpack and check the delivered equipment and ensure that all the materials are
included and intact.
5 Obtaining the ESN
The Electronic Serial Number (ESN) is a unique identifier of a Network Element (NE). The
ESN is used during the commissioning of a base station.
6 Installation Procedure
The BTS3900 cabinets are delivered with boards installed. The installation procedure on site
involves installing the base, installing the cabinet, and installing the cables. For the vehicle-
mounted cabinet, the base is not required, and the vibration isolators and dampers needs to be
installed. In addition, some optional components can be installed on site as required.
7 Checking the Installed Modules and Cables
The internal modules and cables are installed in the cabinet before delivery. You need to check
that the modules and cables are securely connected.
8 Installing the Vibration Isolators and Dampers
Four vibration isolators need to be installed at the bottom of the vehicle-mounted cabinet, and
two dampers need to be installed at the back of the cabinet.
9 Installing the Base
The BTS3900 cabinet must be installed on the base. The base can be installed on the concrete
floor or ESD floor according to the equipment room conditions and customer requirements.
10 Installing the Cabinet
The BTS3900 cabinets can be flexibly installed. In different scenarios, a single cabinet can be
separately installed and two cabinets can be installed side-by-side or stacked.
11 Installing the PGND Cable and Equipotential Cable
The equipotential PGND cable is used to connect the PGND bolts on the cabinets to the PGND
grounding bars on site, ensuring that the cabinets are properly grounded. The equipotential cable
is used to connect the PGND bolts on the cabinets, ensuring the equipotential connections
between the cabinets.
12 (Optional) Installing the Modules
The mandatory modules in the cabinet are already installed. The optional modules can be
installed on site according to different field requirements.
13 Installing the Cables
The BTS3900 cabinet is delivered with boards installed, and the internal cables are already
installed. Therefore, only the external cables and cables for the optional modules need to be
installed on site.
14 Installation Checklist
After the cabinets and devices are all installed, you need to check the installation items,
installation environment, and cable-related items.
15 Performing the Power-On Check
