Care Call SignWave Receiver & Base

Getting Started

1. Insert a small flat blade screwdriver into the slot on the front cover. Push gently and the cover will pivot
outwards.
2. Move the On / Off Key to the left using the edge of the front cover. Replace the front cover.
3. Connect the Mains Adaptor to the SignWave Base Unit and plug adaptor into a 13amp mains socket.
4. Place the SignWave Base on a flat smooth surface such as a bedside or coffee table.
5. Place the SignWave Portable receiver onto the base unit. This will require charging for 24 hours.
6. If there is sufficient charge in the Portable Receiver the unit will buzz and Strobe Light will flash, three times. The
battery / Charge Status light will shine solid green whilst charging. When fully charged the green light will go out
momentarily once every 5 seconds. If the mains power fails this light will turn orange and flash once every five
seconds. When off the Base Unit this light will flash green once every five seconds.
7. When a signal is received from a transmitter unit the strobe light will flash, a sound will be emitted and one of the
indicator lights will flash on the Event Display. Press the Cancel Button to stop the Strobe and sound. The
symbol light will continue to flash for a few seconds.
