Appendix C:
The SARK-110 provides a calibration procedure to compensate the stray capacitance and
impedance of the external test fixture, e.g. the extension cable. This should be performed every
time the external test fixture is changed and periodically.
Calibration is performed by using an open circuit, a short circuit, and a calibrated load with the
value of the reference impedance; connected to the external test fixture. The analyzer performs
a series of measurements with these loads, calculate error coefficients, and these are stored in
a file that automatically loads each time you run the analyzer. These error coefficients are used
to correct the measured values.
The product includes an optional calibration loads kit for the BNC to MCX pigtail cable adapter to
support the calibration process.
The calibration operation is available in the «Setup» - "OSL Calibration".
The calibration procedure is as follow:
Connect the open load.
Press the button [■] to continue, or the
button [▲] to cancel.
