Fast Roaming
With fast roaming, a full authentication method is required to establish the
initial client connection, after which the
fast roaming technique can
subsequently be used when roaming between APs to minimize
perceptible delay during re-association (by distributing and caching
PMKSA on neighbor APs).
The techniques optimizes latency-sensitive
applications such as wireless voice over IP (VoIP).
