  • Page 11 Chapter 2 Get started Setup wizard The Setup Wizard guides you through the process of setting up your phone when you power on your phone for the first time. You can follow the instructions to choose a default language, select a country or region, choose a keyboard, connect to a mobile network or Wi-Fi network, choose to copy apps and data, sign in with a Google account or Mi account, set screen lock, and complete other basic settings.
  • Page 12 Insert a SIM card 1. Withdraw the SIM card tray with the ejection tool. 2. Put the SIM card on the tray. NOTE: If you insert two SIM cards, you can set one as the primary mobile data SIM and the other as the primary calling SIM, or set call forwarding between the two SIM cards.
  • Page 13 Transfer files Install (ShareMe App) on both the phone A and the phone B. NOTE: The following steps take file exchange between Xiaomi phone and another Xiaomi phone as an example. 1. Open on the phone A and the phone B separately.
