INPUT MODULE
IM1
Operation Manual
PASN.423149.107 OM
1 Basic Product Information
1.1 Input module IM1 (hereinafter – IM1) is designed to receive notifications from dry contact output devices that are
not loop-powered, and to transmit notifications to the Addressable Fire Alarm Control Device (hereinafter – the Device) via
the Addressable Communication Line (hereinafter – the ACL).
1.2 IM1 complies with EN 54-18.
1.3 IM1 is designed for operation in fire alarm systems created on the basis of R3500 series device.
1.4 The power supply of IM1 and communication are carried out via the ACL. IM1 allows the connection to ACL
regardless of polarity.
1.5 IM1 performs the following functions:
– monitoring the status of the alarm loop (hereinafter – the AL), which connects the IM1 input to the dry contact
output of the device, for open or short circuit;
– IM1 status indication (see Table 1);
– monitoring of unauthorized opening of IM1 enclosure cover;
– testing of the communication over the ACL using the TEST/tamper button.
1.6 IM1 occupies 1 address in the system.
1.7 IM1 is designed for continuous operation at ambient temperature of minus 10 °C to plus 55 °C and a maximum
relative humidity of (93 ± 2) %, without condensation.
2 Basic Technical Data
2.1 The operating range of supply voltage of IM1 from the ACL is (24 – 36) V. The current consumption of IM1 from the
ACL in the indicated voltage range is 0.3 mA, max.
2.2 IM1 interference protection is adjustable in the range from 0 to 7.6 s.
2.3 An optical indicator is provided for IM1 status information. Indication modes are listed in Table 1.
