LP1000 RS-232 Command Values
Communication Configuration
To control this projector from an RS-232 control system, connect the serial cable or a null modem cable and the InFocus
RS-232 Adapter (SP-CWRS232) and set the control system serial port settings to match the following communication
configuration*:

LP1000, RS-232 Connection
The RS-232 connector on the LP1000 is a male DB9 connector. Use a null modem serial cable (9pin female - 9pin
female) to connect between the RS-232 port and the serial port of the computer source. The connector scheme (from left
to right) is:
top (pins 9,8,7,6): not used, not used, not used, not used
o
bottom (pins 5,4,3,2,1): ground, not used, send data, receive data, not used
o
Three pins need to be terminated: ground, send and receive (5, 3 and 2 respectively).
Command Format
All commands consist of 3 alpha characters followed by a request, all enclosed in parentheses. The request can be a read
request (indicated by a "?") or a write request (indicated by 1 to 4 ASCII digits).
A read request example:
