    Only a authorized AeroClave service technician may repair or maintain this equipment. 2.1.4 The RDS 3110 unit is designed to operate on a standard 120V, 15-amp grounded power receptacle. To avoid electrical hazards or damage to the machine, this minimum power requirement must be met.

    2.2.1 The operator must be trained and qualified to this manual or equivalent preceding manual. Hands on training in the operation of the RDS 3110 unit is recommended. 2.2.2 The operator must review and understand the AeroClave product manual and complete the necessary training given by qualified AeroClave personnel.

    Prior to treatment verify proper time for treatment using the provided treatment injection time chart. 4.1.6 The RDS 3110 unit uses a computer controller to operate. Use of this controller is covered in the following section, 4.2 Computer Controller Settings Logic. 4.1.7 Once injection time has been input, collect the required equipment and materials needed in Section 1.3.

    ADP-PT or ADP-EX. NOTE: The ADP-PT and ADP-EX are optional components that must be purchased separately and installed in the by an authorized AeroClave installer. An ADP-AS two-way connection hose is necessary when using an ADP-EX.

  • Page 14 AeroClave RDS 3110 Operator Manual 4.3.8 Once cycle starts, the unit will dispense the prescribed amount of solution associated with the time that was input. When the injection cycle is complete, the unit will cease dispensing fluid. NOTE: Even though injection cycle is complete, until the red arming switch has been switched back to the OFF position, the unit will remain engaged and will restart a decontamination cycle if the start button on either the unit or remote control is pushed.

    N95 mask prior to APA operation. 4.4.3 Plug the APA into the quick connect SmartPort located on the RDS 3110 unit. To do this, align the white dot on the APA connector with the white dot on the RDS 3110 SmartPort, insert the APA connector, and turn the connector clockwise until it locks into position.

    AeroClave RDS 3110 Operator Manual 4.4.7 Always keep the nozzle of the APA pointed away from you or anyone else, even when the unit is not activated. 4.4.8 Application of the solution is left to the discretion of the operator. It should be adjusted appropriately for the situation at hand.

This mode works best when HVAC and ventilation have been isolated.

  • Page 21 NOTE: When decontaminating a small space, there may not be enough room for both the RDS 3110 unit and the tripod. If the RDS 3110 unit is in another area, ensure that the APA hose is not kinked or pinched when placing it in the treatment area.

    After completion of the decontamination cycle, flip the red arming switch down to the OFF position to disengage the unit. Doing this will prevent the unit from accidentally activating. 4.6.14 Disconnect APA from the RDS 3110 unit. 4.6.15 Disconnect the unit from its power source.

    PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE The RDS 3110, APA, and ADP Vehicle Ports must be flushed with distilled water on a monthly basis to ensure proper operation and a long life. The length of time necessary to fully flush the system is dependent on the number of nozzles installed inside the treatment area.
