Air is filtered through an inline filter (1) and enters a distribution manifold (2). The distribution manifold serves to distribute the air to three separate ball valves (3).

The oil droplets are suspended in the air and are discharged into a distribution-piping network. The piping system then supplies the oil mist to user machinery for bearing lubrication.

The air pressure regulator adjusts and controls the airflow through the mist head by controlling the inlet air pressure.

The transmitter consists of a 316SS float that travels the length of the sensor tube. The sensor tube houses a circuit string of resistors and magnetically operated reed switches.

    LubriMist® Model IVT Page 33 Oil Mist Generating System of 256 Installation and Operating Manual Mist Density Sensor The LubriMist® monitor is a proprietary sensor manufactured by manufacturer. The mist monitor is a solid state device that detects fluctuations in oil mist density. The LubriMist® oil mist monitors user selectable sensitivity adjustment provides continuous on-line monitoring of the oil mist density in the supply header, allowing oil mist users to optimize oil consumption without over or under lubricating machinery.

When the level switch in the main oil mist generator reservoir initiates the fill cycle, the pressure transducer confirms that pump operation has started.

Prior to commissioning the system, the bulk oil reservoir must be charged with a fresh clean supply of oil. Oil may be pumped directly from drums or other bulk supply source through a supply hose.
