Make sure no one is in the danger zone of the vehicle while the engine is running or the vehicle is moving. • If there is interference, contact your Soucy Track dealer. Check for interference at these points: NOTICE SOUCY TRACK RECOMMENDS INSPECTING THE TRACK SYSTEM EVERY 250 HOURS, OR ONCE A YEAR (SEE THE MAINTENANCE SECTION).
7.2 FRONT TRACK KIT PARALLELISM ADJUSTMENT NOTE • Applicable to FRONT frame only. • Do the adjustment on a flat surface. • Measure the distance from the idler wheel hub at the front and the back of the undercarriage. 1. Use a tape to measure the distance between the frames at their front and back. 2.
Page 59
NOTICE TO AVOID FRONT WHEEL TOE MISADJUSTMENT, DO NOT TURN THE STEERING FULL LOCK ON EITHER SIDE WHEN MOVING BACKWARD. INSTALLATION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE GUIDE...
If they need adjustment, use tensioners of the undercarriage to adjust the track tension. • Soucy Track recommends the following method of measuring deflection. Other methods can be used. • Drive the sprayer forward for +/- 5 feet (1.5 m.) to release tension due to sprocket drive and stop without moving backward.
Page 61
1. Place the tip of the tape on the inner surface of the track. Position the tape on the side of the sprocket as shown. 2. Place your thumb over a number on the tape, without applying pressure. 3. Let someone grab the track firmly on each side and push hard two or three times. NOTE The tape should slide.
Page 62
4. Note the new number where your thumb rests and subtract from the first number to get the current deflection value. To obtain a deflection as per the number in Table 7.1. To check if the track tension is adequate, proceed with next steps to apply a force as per Table A.
Page 63
Deflection (mm / in) (kg / lb) (mm / in) (kg / lb) S-TECH 7016 NOTE • The tolerance is +/- 6mm in each case. • Those value are indicative. Do not put too much tension on the tracks. It is better to have a slightly loose track.
7.4 TRACK ALIGNMENT 1. Do this procedure if rubber track lugs are overheating, and on a flat surface. 2. Drive the vehicle at 30 kmh (20 mph) for 2.5 km (1.5 miles) in order to determine whether the track is aligned. 3.
Page 65
TRACK TENSION MIGHT HAVE TO BE LOOSE TO CREATE ENOUGH ROOM BETWEEN PIVOT AXLE AND HOUSING. • SOUCY RECOMMEND ADDING SHIM OF 1/16 AT A TIME. 9. When the shim is installed, tight the pivot axle bolts. 10. Adjust the tension of the track.

✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ ✔ • Soucy track recommends reducing by half the maintenance intervals recommended by the manufacturer for the planetary gear oil, hydrostatic oil and filters. • Check front wheel toe every 25 hours and rephase steering system if needed.
8.2 AXLE AND WHEEL LUBRICATION 1. To check oil level in wheel hub; a. Use an 20 mm socket to remove the oil plug. b. Oil level should be between 1/2 and 2/3 of hub capacity. Use TO-4 SAE 30 oil. Figure 8.1 Lubricating Points 8.3 CLEANING AND STORAGE NOTE...
