opposite direction to the arrow on the motor
casing (3 Fig. 4), take the plug out of the
socket and reverse two poles in it by means
of the screw, as shown in "A" Fig. 4.

1.6 SAFETY

1.6.1. GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS

When using electrical equipment and tools it
is necessary to take appropriate safety
precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric
shock and injury to persons. Before using the
equipment, therefore, read through and
memorise the following safety instructions.
After reading, put this booklet away in a safe
place.

1.6.1.1. COMMON SAFETY REGULATIONS

- Keep the work area clean and tidy. Untidy
areas and rooms help accidents occur.
- Before starting work, check that the wood-
cutter and the guards are perfectly sound.
Check proper operation of the moving parts,
that there are no damaged or broken parts
and that the knife has been fitted properly
and has no obstructions. Any damaged or
broken parts have to be repaired or replaced
by competent and authorised personnel.

the warranty, operating with equipment that
is not safe and is potentially hazardous.
- For use, the wood-cutter has to be on the
level and firmly anchored. Wood cutting has
to be done in conditions of perfect safety.
- Before starting work, get familiar with the
controls and their functions. It is absolutely
forbidden to let children and unauthorised,
unskilled or unhealthy persons touch or use
the wood-cutter.
- When using the wood-cutter use safety
shoes, gloves and suitable goggles.
- While operating the wood-cutter, use only
the handlebars to lock the piece of wood
and avoid touching moving parts.
- Keep the work area clear of other pieces of
wood and always cut just one log at a time.
- Any type of inspection, check, cleaning,
maintenance, changing and replacing
pieces has to be done with the wood-cutter
turned off and unplugged from the power
socket, for the electric models, and with the
tractor turned off and the cardan shaft
uncoupled for the model with transmission
by means of the PTO.
- Wear suitable clothing while using the
wood-cutter. It is absolutely forbidden to
wear necklaces or loose clothing that could
get caught up in rotating or moving parts. If
you have long hair wear a cap. In rooms
with slippery floors wear non-slip footwear.
- Never leave the wood-cutter running
unattended.
- Should the wood-cutter accidentally fall,
check it has not been damaged in any way.
- If the wood-cutter exceeds the acoustic
pressure level of 85 dB (see Technical
Features), it is necessary to get fitted out
with appropriate protection, such as
earplugs, to safeguard hearing.
- Do not expose the wood-cutter to rain and
do not use it in wet or damp places.
- During work keep any children, people or
animals at a safe distance.
- Do not use the wood-cutter and its relative
tools for purposes they are not meant for.
- Do not subject the machine to work it could
