* LiFOS battery will go into dormant mode when battery voltage is < 8V and battery output is 0V. Please contact us or
use a specific LiFePO4 battery wall charger to recharge it for 3-5 minutes – this will release it. Please contact your dealer,
retailer to get the wall charger if necessary.
'Smart' Battery Chargers
Your LiFOS battery can be charged using any battery charger and alternator that delivers
no more than 30A. In a few cases a 'smart' battery charger can only charge LiFOS to 90%.
In this case, we have provided a LiFOS lithium battery charger that can be used in these
circumstances. If using this charger please connect the ring terminals to LiFOS using the bolts
supplied and observe the correct polarity – red to red and black to black.
Plug the adaptor into a mains wall plug and once the LED on the charger goes from red to
green it indicates the battery is 100% fully charged. Disconnect the charger and use the LiFOS
as described on the attached.
If you have any questions about this process please contact us on 01684 774000.

User Manual
Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery (LiFPO
LiFOS Quick User Guide
The guide should be read in conjunction with the main instructions included overleaf,
but the following points will enable speedy deployment of your LiFOS battery.
1. From new, please discharge LiFOS fully before connecting to a charger.
2. LiFOS can be charged by a solar panel (via a suitable charge controller), vehicle alternator and
any lead acid or lithium phosphate battery charger. However, certain chargers are unable to
charge LiFOS to 100%. In this case use the LiFOS charger supplied with this battery (or another
approved charger – see www.lifos.co.uk for the approved list).
3. The Battery Management System (BMS) within each LiFOS battery may give inaccurate data via
the Bluetooth app until ten charge and discharge cycles have taken place. This is because during
these ten cycles the BMS is balancing and calibrating the four lithium cells within LiFOS.
4. If two LiFOS batteries have been purchased (for two different uses or to connect two in parallel)
please ensure the app is fully closed down on your smart phone on the first battery before
searching for the second battery. Unless the app is fully closed there will either be no visibility of
the second battery or the information given by the app will be corrupt and very inaccurate.
If you have any questions regarding the use or operation of your LiFOS battery please contact the
LiFOS help line on 01684 774000 or see the FAQs on www.lifos.co.uk
