RESIDENT'S USER GUIDE
CONGRATULATIONS
The Fire-Link® II ISD-2500 Fire Alarm Signaling Device has
been installed in your suite. This device will alert you and your
occupants when a fire alarm condition exists in this building.
WARNING: This device does NOT detect smoke,
heat, fire or carbon monoxide.
STATUS INDICATOR*
INDICATOR / BUZZER / STROBE CONDITIONS
GREEN
- NORMAL: The device operating normally.
AMBER
- TROUBLE: The device has detected a minor
system fault. If this condition persists, contact your building
manager.
*The STATUS INDICATOR may occasionally blink depending on
certain tasks by maintenance personnel.
EVACUATE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY.
PUSHBUTTON OPERATION:
Test your device at least once a month. To test the device,
press the TEST PUSHBUTTON. The BUZZER
STATUS INDICATOR will turn amber and the
equipped) will flash. If these conditions do not occur during this
test, contact your building manager immediately.
Warning: The strobe light is extremely bright. Do not
look directly at the strobe light when testing.
(Canadian Models Only)
The PUSHBUTTON is also the SILENCE BUTTON. If the device
is in FIRE ALARM, this button, when pressed, will shut the
BUZZER OFF for a period of 10 minutes. If the Fire Alarm
System has not been reset within the 10 minute period, the
device will go back into alarm. NOTE: The strobe (if equipped)
will NOT be turned off if the PUSHBUTTON is pressed.
Do not remove, alter or tamper with this device.
This device is constantly monitored by the Fire Alarm
System. If it is removed, altered or tampered with, the Fire
Alarm System will be automatically notified, thereby notifying
the Fire Alarm Monitoring Company. If you need to relocate this
device, it may be unplugged from an outlet for up to 30 seconds
before the Fire Alarm System is automatically notified. If it can
not be relocated to another outlet within 30 seconds, please
contact your building manager.
This device must not be plugged into a switched
receptacle or a receptacle that is capable of being
turned off by automatic means.
