ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION/CYLINDER HEAD BREATHER
HOSE INSPECTION/OIL TANK BREATHER HOSE INSPECTION
• Start the engine, warm it up for several min-
utes, and then turn it off.
• Check the engine oil level again.
NOTE: NOTE:
Before checking the engine oil level, wait a few
minutes until the oil has settled.
CAUTION:
• Use only 4-stroke engine oil.
• Engine oil also lubricates the starter
clutch. In order to prevent starter clutch
slippage, do not mix any chemical addi-
tives with the oil.
• Do not use oils with a diesel specification
of "CD" or oils of a higher quality than
specified.
CYLINDER HEAD BREATHER HOSE
INSPECTION
1. Inspect:
• Cylinder head breather hose
Cranks/damage → Replace.
Loosen connection → Connect properly.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the cylinder head breather
hose is routed correctly.

OIL TANK BREATHER HOSE INSPECTION

1. Inspect:
• Oil tank breather hose
Cranks/damage → Replace.
Loosen connection → Connect properly.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the oil tank breather hose is
routed correctly.
