Quidway® S6500 Multiservice Switch Salience III Series Switch Engine

Support Diff-Serv/QoS, whose major functions include the traffic policing CAR, priority

label resetting, packet redirection, queue scheduling mechanism, congestion

avoidance mechanism, across-board port mirroring and traffic statistics.

Support eight priority queues/ports.

Support WRR and SP queue scheduling technologies.

Hardware Features

Support compatibility with the previous service board.

Support the PoE function.

Support the CF board.

Support the EPON OLT service board.

Support L3 + advanced service board.

Support four SFP interface attached with Salience III-Edge and Salience III.

Salience III engine of S6500 high-end multiservice route switch provides the following

interfaces externally:

AUX interface

AUX interface uses RJ-45 connector. This interface can serve as the backup interface of

Console interface to connect the background terminal or connect Modem device, for

remote debugging, configuration, maintenance and management of system. It can also

connect the background terminal computer.
