WHAT’S IN THE BOX? WHAT YOU’LL NEED Phillips head #2 screwdriver Flat head screwdriver ConnectSense In-Wall Outlet (20 amp pictured) 2 mounting screws Wall plate Pliers (optional) - Page 4 Tungsten, A LED & CFL, A Motor Electrical Rating are replacing. If breakers aren’t labeled, turn Receptacle with integral switching means off master breaker. 5-15 R 1/2 HP CS-IWO-15 1000 (8.3) 3.75 15A, 125 V motor Before proceeding - Check for 5-20 R 1 HP 1500 (12.5)
- Page 5 REMOVE OLD OUTLET Unscrew wall plate and outlet from wall. Carefully disconnect wires attached to outlet. Remove your existing outlet. Before removing - Be sure the device is not powered.
- Page 6 IDENTIFY & STRIP WIRES Neutral Wire You should see 3 types of wires in your wall: Line (Black) Neutral (White) Line Wire Ground (Green) Be sure your wires have a ½ inch stripped at the end of each wire. Use a proper* screwdriver to tighten the terminal screws.
- Page 7 CONNECT IN-WALL OUTLET Line Wire (Black) Neutral Wire (White) Ground Wire (Green) To connect another device on the same circuit, use the two middle inputs. Be sure that the line and neutral are installed into the correct input location.
