happens, the LCD will display the actual water
temperature. If the On/Off button is pressed
again the LCD will display 100ºC and it will boil
to this temperature.
NOTE: The temperature can be changed anytime
during the boiling process by pressing one of
the preset temperature options or setting the
temperature manually. If the temperature selected
during boiling is lower than the temperature of the
water in the kettle, it will switch off immediately
and beep 5 times; the LCD will display the current
water temperature.
NOTE: When the unit is not in operation for 1
minute it will switch into ECO stand-by mode.
10. Once the water has boiled and the kettle has
switched off, carefully lift the kettle from the
power base and pour the water.
11. If the kettle is removed from the powerbase
before it automatically switches off and is then
put back on the powerbase it will not continue
to boil and will need to be reset.
NOTE: A couple of water droplets or condensation
may appear on the lid and powerbase while
boiling, this is quite normal and not a leak.
CAUTION: Do not open the lid of the kettle when
pouring or during the heating process as escaping
steam may scald.
BOIL-DRY PROTECTION
If the kettle is accidentally switched on without a
sufficient water level, a boil dry mechanism will
automatically switch the kettle off.
To reset, switch off at powerpoint and allow kettle
to cool before refilling. The safety device will
automatically reset when the kettle has cooled.
CLEANING &
MAINTENANCE
• Unplug your kettle and allow it to cool before
cleaning.
• Wipe the kettle and base of unit with a soft,
damp cloth.
• Be sure that the powerbase electrical connection
and connection underneath the kettle are kept
dry.
• Dry and polish all parts with a soft cloth.
• Never immerse kettle or power base in water.
• Any other servicing should be performed by an
authorised service representative.
REMOVABLE SCALE FILTER
• This kettle features a mesh filter to remove scale
deposits and clean water.
• The filter can be removed by grasping it and
pulling upward. Run under hot water and rub
with a clean cloth or brush. Replace the filter; it
will snap back into place.
DECALCIFICATION
• Decalcification refers to removing mineral
deposits, which may form in the interior and on
heating plate of the kettle over time. This can
result in discolouration that can look the colour
of rust. Please note this is NOT rust, the interior
of the kettle is stainless steel and will not rust.
• To get the best performance from your
Multi-Temp Kettle, decalcify your unit from time
to time. Frequency will depend on the hardness
of your tap water and how often you use your
kettle.
• We suggest using a kettle descaler in order
to dissolve these deposits or scale. Follow the
directions on the descaler package.
• If a commercial descaler is not available, fill the
kettle with enough white vinegar to cover the
bottom by about 1cm. Heat the vinegar to a boil.
Repeat this with cooled vinegar until all deposits
are removed. When the descaling process is
complete, empty the kettle and rinse out several
times with clean water.
NOTE: Empty the kettle after each use. Do not
leave water standing in the kettle. This is to help
prevent build up of hard water limescale.
