Before first Use

Remove all packaging materials from the appliance and from the accessories.
Clean all parts of the appliance before using the first time as described below
under "cleaning" on page 11.
Operating the egg boiler requires no special preparation. Still, please notice these
points:
It is not unusual for the egg boiler to briefly emit an unpleasant smell while
heating up for the first time. This is no reason for concern.
Please keep in mind that piercing the eggs shortens the shelf life of the boiled
eggs. On the other hand, if you do not pierce the eggs, the shell may crack during
cooking.
It is advisable not to soak the eggs in cold water after cooking. With the water
bacteria may enter the boiled egg and cause it to spoil prematurely. Soaked eggs
should be eaten within the day; eggs which have not been soaked will keep for up
to three months in the refrigerator.

Using

1. Place the egg boiler (2) on an even surface.
2. If desired, pierce the large ends of the eggs with the egg piercer in the base
of the measuring cup (7). Take care not to injure yourself with the egg piercer.
3. Place the eggs in the egg tray (6) with the large ends down.
4. Fill the measuring cup (7) with normally temperate tab water up to the
marking for hard, medium or soft eggs. Also observe the markings regarding
the number of eggs 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7.
5. Fill the water from the measuring cup into the boiling tray on top of the egg
boiler. Use only the included measuring cup and do not overfill the cooking
tray.
6. Place the egg tray (6) with the eggs on the egg boiler (2).
7. Place the cover (5) on the egg tray (6). Make sure the two parts are flush with
each other as designed.
