IV) Convert the music file in the CD
This tool can also convert the music files from a CD to MP3 format. Please follow
instructions for "Converting Video File" and save files as MP3 files.
Copy the converted file (MP3 format) to the MP3 folder on the built-in memory or
external storage card for playing on the PMP.
V) Upgrading PMP's Firmware
The firmware upgrade is carried out under Power On status. Before upgrading firmware
program, be sure that the battery is fully charged.
Important: If the PMP gets turned off or USB cable is disconnected during upgrade, the PMP
will not operate properly, and may have to be returned to the manufacturer for repairs.
The PMP must be turned on before updating and upgrading its firmware. Select "PC-DEVICE"
from Main Menu
Tools
will briefly display "OK" on the right side.
After that, connect the PMP to your PC using the USB cable. The PMP screen will display
"PC-DEVICE" and not "MSDC". Note: If you see "MSDC" on PMP's screen, you have not
followed instructions properly.
Procedure to upgrade firmware:
Once PMP screen displays PC-DEVICE, insert software CD (labeled DRIVER) into
CD-ROM Drive and launch "ISP_V5.2" from PMP UPGRADE TOOL sub-folder under
folder named ENGLISH on the CD. You will see the following screen:
Click on "Ver. Check" button.
