Chapter 1: Overview Nexsan E18X and Nexsan E32X 2U, rack-mountable Storage Expansions can hold up to 18 or 32 SATA, SAS, or SSD data disks respectively. Nexsan E-Series base models use 3Gb/s SAS for internal communication between the RAID Controllers and hard disks.

Chapter 3: Replacing Modules Nexsan E18X and Nexsan E32X Storage Expansions are designed so that some components can be replaced without turning off the system or interrupting its functioning. This chapter describes how to replace each of these modules in the field while the unit is running.
