Product Usage This wheelchair is designed to be used by a single user within the recommended user weight limit and not to transport additional items. This wheelchair should not be used on uneven terrain, soft surfaces such as sand or snow, slush or mud as this will compromise the stability and performance of the wheelchair.

If the footrests are not fitted then they should be located on the spigots (fig 1) and rotated through 180 degrees to a fixed position, at the front of the chair, ensuring that a positive lock is achieved when the footrests are in position. The Rear Push handles will be in a folded condition upon receipt of the wheelchair. Lift the Push Handles into the upright condition ensuring they lock positively. To fold back down depress the button and lower. (fig 3) (fig 3) There are 2 sets of brakes on the wheelchair.

The brake for the transit wheel operates in a similar way but is positioned on the rear part of the frame and is operated by the attendant. (fig 5) The brake is pulled up to lock the wheel and pressed down to release.

Refitting of the larger self propelling wheels is the reverse of the removal. You must ensure that upon refitting the self propel wheels that they are positively locked in place before using the chair. (fig 7) Ensure that the axle is positively locked in place before using the chair.

The armrests are locked in position on the seat rail. They can be released and rotated to the rear of the chair by depressing the lock and moving to the desired position. Points To Remember When Using The Chair • Ensure that all brakes are in good condition and work correctly. • Check that the front castors and rear wheels rotate freely and are free from any damage. • Ensure that the seat and back canvas are in good condition prior to use and the back is positioned correctly.

Slopes and Inclines Care must be taken when ascending, descending or traversing a slope at all times. The chair stability will become reduced. Where possible a slope should be descended backwards with assistance from an attendant or carer. To climb a slope the chair must be pushed forwards with the attendant supporting from the rear of the chair.

Warranty Details This chair is covered by a manufacturers 12 month warranty when used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and guidelines. This warranty is not transferable. Should any part of the wheelchair require repair or replacement due to a manufacturers defect, within the warranty period, then that part shall be supplied free of charge.
