1. Field Connector assembly procedure

This assembling procedure applies to 2 × 3 mm Drop fiber optic cables.
1. Remove the Drop cable's support cable.
2. Insert the screw cap of the connector into the cable before proceeding with the next steps.
3. Remove 5 cm of the Drop cable jacket.
4. Insert the cable into the template and align the cap with the markings indicated. Remove the
primary fiber coating.
5. Check the integrity of the optical fiber, move the fiber with your fingertips to all sides respecting
the maximum curvature of 60°.
6. Clean the optical fiber with a tissue dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
7. To perform the fiber cleave, insert the cable into the template.
8. Use the cleaver to cut the optical fiber
10. Insert the cable into the connector as far as it will
go, allowing the fiber to bend slightly. Keep this
elevation for the connector´s assembly.
12. Lock the fiber to the connector. Slide the lock
to the side indicated by the arrow.

9. Follow the dimensions indicated for assembly.

11. Lock the cable to the connector with the
screw cap.
