Handling precautions

These precautions are provided to prevent the product from
malfunction and to ensure that performance can be fully
demonstrated. Thoroughly read these precautions to ensure correct
use.
■ Precautions common to main unit, internal
battery, charging equipment, SIM card, peripheral
equipment
• Do not apply excessive force to the product during use. Be sure
not to put the product into a tightly packed bag or place a heavy
object on the product in a bag. Sitting on the product in your
pocket may cause damage of the display, internal circuit board,
etc. or other malfunction.
Also, it may cause a damage of connector or malfunction if it has
an external device connecting to the external connection jack or
earphone jack. Such damage and malfunction are not covered by
the warranty, even if there is no external damage.
• To ensure waterproof property (equivalent to IPX8) of the product,
use with the SIM card/microSD memory card tray firmly installed.
However, that does not mean the operations in every possible
condition are guaranteed. Do not allow water to enter into the
product or to splash on the specified charging equipment (sold
separately). Do not open/close the SIM card/microSD memory
card tray in the rain or when water droplet is adhered on it. Water
may enter inside of the product and cause corrosion.
Malfunctions determined that are caused by such water wetting as
result of inspections are not covered by the warranty.
• Do not use the following items in extremely hot, cold or humid
places. (Use in a range of ambient temperature 0
35% to 85% in humidity. However, temporary use is possible in a

cotton swabs etc. every now and then. Soiled jacks may cause
poor connection. Be careful not to deform the external connection
jack or earphone jack by applying force a this time.
