Check the vacuum columns (including the bellow switch, column
switches, and flapper valve switch.

Tape drive maintenance with tape tester (monthly). Check the forw ard-
reverse magnet transfer time, the friction drive clutch (being sure it is clean), and
the air filters.
In addition, perform any other tests scheduled on a monthly basis,
which may be performed suitably with the tape unit removed from the system.
