CONFigure:{FREQuency|PERiod} [{< range >|MIN|MAX|DEF} [,
{< resolution >|MIN|MAX|DEF}]]
Sets all measurement and trigger parameters to their
specifies the range and resolution.
<range>: 3 Hz to 300 kHz, default 20 Hz (FREQuency)
<range>: 3.33 µs to 333.33 ms, default 50 ms for PERiod
<resolution>: 1 ppm × <range> (MINimum) to 100 ppm × <range>
(MAXimum), DEFault = 10 ppm × <range> (100 ms aperture)
Specify <resolution> in the measurement's units (V, A, Hz, Ω, and so on).
Configure frequency measurements using the default aperture and the 200 Hz (fast) AC filter. Then make and read
one measurement:

Typical Response: +1.32130000E+03
The <range> parameter is required only to specify the measurement resolution parameter. It is not necessary to
l
send a new command for each new frequency or period to be measured.
If the input voltage is too large for the selected voltage range (manual ranging), the instrument displays the word
l
Overload on the front panel and returns "9.9E37" from the remote interface. Autoranging can be enabled for the
input voltage.
Period and frequency measurements do not autorange; the <range> and <resolution> parameters affect the
l
aperture (gate time) as follows:
Resolution
100 ppm × <range> (MAXimum) 10 ms
10 ppm × <range> (DEFault)
1 ppm × <range> (MINimum)
With no signal applied, 0 is returned.
