• The DDF2008C01 module and the mounting frame should always be installed, maintained, operated and removed by personnel with sufficient technical qualifications. The equipment should never be placed in damp areas, near splashing liquid, or in explosive or corrosive atmospheres.
1 - Remove the blank panel covering the front of the empty slot chosen for installing the DDF2008C01 in the mounting frame. 2 - Insert the DDF2008C01 module into the front of the mounting frame. The edges of the card slide into two plastic guides inside the mounting frame.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual DDF2008C01 3.5. Interconnection The arrangement of the front panel connectors of the DDF2008C01 module is shown in the following figure. Front panel of the DDF2008C01 The DDF2008C01 includes eight AES/EBU audio interfaces (IN1/OUT5, IN2/OUT6, IN3/OUT7, IN4/OUT8, IN5/OUT1, IN6/OUT2, IN7/OUT3 and IN8/OUT4) that can be configured as inputs or outputs in groups of four using the connector labeled AES/EBU AUDIO IN/OUT.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual DDF2008C01 The front panel has not been designed to support mechanical stress. All cabling in the rack where the mounting frame is located should be properly supported so that the front panel does not provide mechanical support.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual DDF2008C01 4. OPERATION This section describes the significance of the front panel indicators of the DDF2008C01 module and their remote control and monitoring ability. 4.1. Front panel description The appearance of the front panel and the elements it contains are shown in the following illustration.
4.2. Functional description The DDF2008C01 is an auxiliary TL2000 line terminal module that includes eight digital audio interfaces through which AES/EBU streams can be received for delivery to modules located in adjacent slots or the AES/EBU streams from adjacent modules can be transmitted.
AES/EBU outputs. 4.3. The AES/EBU inputs The AES/EBU inputs of the DDF2008C01 can be IN1 to IN8, IN1 to IN4 or IN5 to IN8 depending upon the selected configuration. In order for the DDF2008C01 to function properly the sampling frequency of the AES/EBU audio streams received must be 48 kHz and must be synchronized to the internal sampling frequency of the module.
DDF2008C01 4.4. The AES/EBU outputs The AES/EBU outputs of the DDF2008C01 can be OUT1 to OUT8, OUT1 to OUT4 or OUT5 to OUT8 depending upon the selected configuration. The channel from the AUDIOCHAIN being sent to each of the two AES/EBU stream channels can be controlled independently.
Albalá Ingenieros | Manual DDF2008C01 4.6. Module remote control and supervision The DDF2008C01 requires remote control for configuration. In order to perform remote configuration and supervision of the module an optional TL2000 family remote communications controller must be installed in the mounting frame.
AES/EBU inputs and the AUDIOCHAIN. - User preset management. 4.6.1. Details of the DDF2008C01 registers The DDF2008C01 module provides control and status registers that can be read and written by means of specific commands described in the communication control module user manuals.
