As with all straighteners that reach salon high temperatures, do not use
the appliance frequently to avoid damage to the hair. If you use the
straightener incorrectly, you could overheat your hair or even burn it.
Always follow the steps below to select the right heat setting for
,
your hair type! (Fig. )

Always select a low heat setting when you use the straightener for
the first time.

For coarse, curly or hard-to-straighten hair, select a medium (160) to
high (200) heat setting.

For fine, medium-textured or softly waved hair, select a medium to
low heat setting (160 and below).

Take extra care with pale, blonde, bleached or colour-treated hair,
since it is susceptible to damage at high heat settings.
The display shows the selected heat setting and the remaining time
,
of the straightening session.

Look at the display to see the heat setting you have selected.

The bars on the display show the remaining usage time of the
straightener. The total usage time is 60 minutes. Every ten minutes
one of the six bars disappears.

Insert the plug into the wall socket.

If the appliance is locked push the closing lock up.

Press the on/off button.
The power-on light burns red to indicate that the straightener heats up.
Ions are generated as soon as the straightener is switched on and are
released through the ion output holes.

Let the appliance heat up.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in. Never put
the appliance on a surface that is not heat-resistant when it is heating
up and when it is hot.

When the power-on light turns green, you can adjust the heat
setting to your preference (Fig. ).

Press the + button to increase the heat setting or press the - button
to decrease the heat setting. The display tells you which heat setting
