  • Page 20 Your Remote Control can be programmed to operate certain functions of your TV and stereo receiver. Refer to the Appendix at the end of this guide for remote control setup codes. The iPAQ Music Center remote control uses two AA batteries. 1.
  • Page 21 Similar to a cellular phone, the iPAQ Music Center remote control can be used to enter text and/or numbers in all text fields, such as those displayed in the Setup and Edit screens. The appropriate Entry mode engages automatically when a text field screen is displayed.

  • Page 27 In this chapter you will use the pre-loaded music to learn the In This Chapter basic play functions of your iPAQ Music Center. Once you are comfortable with the basics, follow the easy step-by-step instructions to record your CDs and explore the world of Internet radio.
  • Page 28 You can access the Music Guide screen by pressing the Guide button the remote or the front panel of your iPAQ Music Center. Use the navigation arrows on the remote to highlight titles on the Music Guide screen. Use the Select button to start playing a title.
  • Page 29 Make sure the iPAQ Music Center has access to the Internet so your CD can be identified. Note: Until the CD is identified, the Music Player screen displays “unknown title and artist.” Once the CD is recognized, the information is stored and the title, track, and artist information is displayed.
  • Page 30 Use the Shuffle and Repeat buttons on the remote to change the play mode quickly. ’ TARTED As you listen to your music, you may choose to randomly play songs from a particular CD. The iPAQ Music Center offers six different play mode settings.
