    Introduction The NOVA V1400 is a microprocessor-based CCTV control system designed by Vicon to meet large system requirements. The system contains six card slots with connectors accessible from the rear. These cards are listed below, in card slot order from top to bottom, and shown in Figure 1.
  • Page 11: V1400X-Ci-M Control Interface

    V1400X-DL-1 Distribution Line Control (DL) units being used to connect multiple receivers to the system. Refer to Table 3 for pin connections. You must fabricate the cables using parts supplied in your accessory kit. Vicon recommends the cables shown in Table 2. Note that the cables must be shielded using the connector shells.

    CPU supervises and coordinates the activities of the alarm, video switcher and other CPUs. The monitor connected to the Supervisor is used to view programming menus. To use all of the RS-232 commands available to the NOVA V1400, use connector J7 on the V1400X-SV-M Supervisor to connect a host computer to the system.

    RS-232 command code set. To use all of the RS-232 commands available to the NOVA V1400, use connector J7 on the V1400X-SV-M Supervisor CPU. The same two ports (J11 and J12 on the Alarm Control panel) can be used for alarm serial printers and host computers, so that if you have three host computers, you do not have a serial printer.
