Electronic stud finder 3 in 1
Please read and follow the instruction manual carefully.
Product specifications:
This device detects wood, metal and AC wires behind drywall
surfaces and metal pipes behind tiling or inside concrete.
Battery: 9V

Notification:
• This device should always be used before nailing, cutting or
drilling in walls, floors and ceiling.
• Remember that studs or joists are normally spaced 406mm
or 610mm apart and are 38mm in width.
• Anytime when you find a stud, use AC detecting mode to ver-
ify is it a hot wire or not.
• Always turn off power when working near electric wires.
• To avoid interference while scanning, keep your free hand
and other objects, at least 15cm away from the tool.
• The detected edges may be wider than the actual stud edges
• Never attempt to open the battery for any reason.
• Do not store the battery in locations where the temperature
may exceed 40°C.
Operation instruction:
1. Installation of the battery
1.1 Open battery door at the back of the unit.
1.2 Attach a new 9V battery to the battery connector.
1.3 Put the battery into the compartment.
1.4 Close battery compartment door.

Choose desired detection mode by cycling the various modes
with the buttons with the arrows. The modes can be found in
this order: STUD - METAL - DEEP - AC
2.3. Device Calibration
The device must be calibrated to the characteristics of the body
(wall, floor, ceiling):
- prior to the start of each search
- regularly during a search process (after every 60 seconds).
This is required again after 60 seconds, in order to reduce the
occurrence of measurement errors.
1. Hold device against the surface (selection location whether
the object
searched for is very unlikely to be found).
2. Press the calibration button (found on the left side of the

flash on the display when the calibration is in progress. When
the
icon stops flashing it gives 3 short beeping tones and
the device is successfully calibrated. Press any key to exit cal-
ibration.
Note:
f you calibrate too closely to the object or directly on the wood,
the calibration can fail. If the calibration fails, the display shows
the following symbol

After calibration has been finished, slowly
slide the unit across the wall in a horizontal
direction. Make sure not to tilt or lift the tool.
As you begin to approach
a stud, the sequential
levels on the LCD will
increase, and peck at the
stud edge. Mark this spot
to indicate stud edge.
Continue the scanning
beyond the marked spot
until the peak level dis-
appears then slide the
unit in reverse direction
to locate the other edge
of stud .Mark this second
spot. Center of stud is the
middle between the two
marks.
