(Setting Range N or Y) This setting will cause the servo to take smaller steps, but will also reduce the torque available.

    Press and release the UP control of the VS rocker to enter the value and advance to the next screen. Rotating the encoder knob, select ON or OFF for SPEECH. With the SPEECH control ON, Sorcerer will give a voice enunciation of all important autopilot related information.
  • Page 10 Insure that any “lost motion” in the linkages is eliminated or minimized, in order to maximize the performance of the autopilot.     Yaw Damper Ground Checkout For a Sorcerer with a Yaw Damper, the next step in the checkout procedure is to verify operation of the yaw damper. Before this test, remove the yaw damper module from its mounting location (a vertical bulkhead) so that it can be manually tilted.

    Back the setting down until the autopilot is responsive but not over-active. It is best if these adjustments are made in conditions of moderate turbulence (the Sorcerer loves turbulence) so as to make it easy to observe the response of the autopilot to disturbances.
