Battery Installation - LeapFrog My Pal Scout Smarty Paws Instruction Manual

When prompted by the website, connect the Cable in
Scout's/Violet's battery box to the 3.5mm headphone jack
or adapter on your smartphone, tablet or computer. Do not
plug the Cable into peripheral or external accessories such as
speakers, docks, etc. Follow the instructions on the website to
begin the download.
Step 3
When personalisation is complete, disconnect the Cable from
your device and tuck the Cable back into the battery box.
Close the battery box door and use a screwdriver to tighten
the screw to secure. Close the hook-and-loop fastener over
the battery box.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

1. Make sure the unit is turned Off.
2. Find the battery cover located
on the back of the unit, use a
screwdriver to loosen the screw,
and then open the battery cover.
3. Remove old batteries by pulling
up on one end of each battery.
4. Install 2 new AA (LR6/AM-3)
batteries following the diagram
inside the battery box. (For
best performance, alkaline
batteries or fully charged Ni-
MH rechargeable batteries are
recommended.)
5. Replace the battery cover and
tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING
Adult assembly needed. Close the battery door and tighten
the screw to secure before giving your child the toy.
