This TOTEM CHP unit has been fitted with an aftermarket CO detector to monitor the warm air leaving the unit.

    Dealing with the Lamps on the Front of the TOTEM CHP Typically there is no reason to connect and interrogate the machine unless user data is required such as current temperatures, run hours, time until servicing, etc. There are combinations of illuminated lamps that may require the user to connect and interrogate. Power on lamp illuminated, all other lamps off, Machine NOT running.

    Procedure 2 External Checks As CHP appliances incorporate an engine which vibrates during operation, it is important to routinely check for any indications of anything working loose. Visually check around the appliance and associated pipework looking for any indications of leaks, loose brackets/clips dislodged pipework/exhaust.

    Procedure 4 Internal Checks If the engine is running, switch off the appliance at the On/Off switch and wait for the engine to stop before turning off at the machine isolator adjacent to the machine. If the engine is not running, switch off at the machine isolator.

    It should not have to be done more than once. Do not top up more than twice with water, coolant should be used. If it continues to lose coolant contact Adveco. Replace the fill cap by turning it clockwise until it reaches its stop.

    If the oil level is low, make a note of the level from the top of the sight glass. Carry out Procedure 4 sections 2 – 6. If a leak is identified from a connection tighten the union. If the leak cannot be stopped contact Adveco, replace access panels, and leave the appliance isolated.
