Deactivating the
Buttons on the Main
Unit
(Child Lock)
You can deactivate the buttons on the main
unit (except for "/1) for preventing
misoperation, such as child mischief.
Touch and hold x on the main unit
for more than 5 seconds.
"LOCKED" appears in the top panel
display.
The child lock function is activated and the
buttons on the main unit are locked. (You
can operate the system by using the remote
control.)
To cancel, touch and hold x for more than
5 seconds until "UNLOCK" appears in the
top panel display.
Note
If you operate the buttons on the main unit while
the child lock function is on, "LOCKED" flashes
in the top panel display.
Enjoying Speaker
Illumination
SPEAKER ILLUMINATION
The lower part of the front speakers and
surround speakers light up when the main
unit is turned on.
To turn off the speaker illumination, press
SPEAKER ILLUMINATION.
Controlling Your TV
with the Supplied
Remote Control
By adjusting the remote control signal, you
can control your TV with the supplied
remote control.
Note
When you replace the batteries of the remote
control, the code number may reset to the default
(SONY) setting. Set the appropriate code number
again.
Preparing the remote
control for controlling
the TV
While holding down TV "/1, press
number buttons to enter your TV's
manufacturer's code (see the table).
Then release TV "/1.

If the setting is unsuccessful, the currently
registered code is not changed. Re-enter the
code number.
