Frigidaire model PRFC2383AFB - How do you reset the water filter status after replacement. I bought a Frigidaire filter, per their website, a number FPPWFU01 and it fits and works but the red light saying to change the filter is still on. I can not find any control panel that has an option to reset the filter status. The one that came out of it is an Electrolux filter number EPPWFU01 and it has a gray bottom vs the Frigidaire filter that has a white bottom. Does the Electrolux filter have an RFID chip to reset the filter status? Or is there a control panel somewhere for the reset. I also tried to hold the "Crush" button for several seconds and that did nothing. Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for your quick response it is much appreciated. Now if you could tell me where the "water filter" button is would be much appreciated as well. Nowhere on the refrigerator, inside or outside, is there a button that says "water filter". The front control panel has 3 selections Water, Crush and Cubed and the control panel inside has only settings for the vegetable & crisper drawers. When the "Water" light is lit and you push your cup against the bar to dispense the water and when water starts to dispense then a message appears above the word "Water" that says, lit in red, "Replace water filter". I have pushed every square inch of that front control panel, including all 3 words and the red warning light, for 3 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds etc... and nothing will clear that red warning message. I will look thoroughly again for a water filter button and if I do find it I will certainly let you know and I do sincerely appreciate your help with this. A new OEM Electrolux filter, like the one that came out of it, will be here tomorrow and if that clears the light I will let you know that as well. I sincerely thank you again!

How do I adjust internal 'drawer' temperature?

To adjust the internal drawer temperature on a Frigidaire PRFC2383AF, first unlock the Adjustable Temp Drawer by pressing and holding the UNLOCK icon for 3 seconds. Then, choose one of the following settings:

- Meat/Seafood: For short-term storage of meat or seafood. Freeze if storing for more than two days.
- Cold Drinks: For storing packaged beverages like soda cans or juice boxes.
- Deli/Snacks: For storing deli meats and cheeses.

A tone will sound to confirm your selection. The drawer automatically locks after 10 seconds without interaction.
